Project Summary
Morgan provided demolition and abatement services on these remote sites in Southeast Alberta. There were special challenges regarding multiple crossing agreements and proximity agreements with pipeline and utility owners. Morgan provided a project management and on-site supervisory team to manage all aspects of the agreements on behalf of the owner. Morgan developed a customized plan to manage and communicate daily activities to all stakeholders, document agreements and schedule inspections and work. Post project support included a comprehensive report detailing the crossings, decommissioning and demolition activities.
Project Scope
Helped the client with agreements related to nearby areas and crossing, communicated with landowners, and double-checked to ensure accurate site information
Verification and validation procedures were critical as not all pipelines or process equipment were clean or empty
Completed construction activities on time, considering restrictions on accessing the site and environmental regulations for protecting endangered species
Recycled 900 tons of steel
Removed and recycled 500 tons of concrete
Cut and sealed off 100 authorized pipelines across the project sites
Demolished and disposed of over 150 pressure vessels
